THE COLLEGE HISTORY Northwest Aviation College was founded in 1992; resulting from the cumulative efforts of the principals and directors of Auburn Flight Service, Inc., who had long recognized a growing need for an accredited aviation degree granting institution in Western Washington. Although short in history, the success of Northwest Aviation College has been accelerated as a result of its relationship to Auburn Flight Service, Inc., which has long been recognized as an unsurpassed leader in quality aviation education since 1969. MISSION The mission of Northwest Aviation College is to assert an ongoing commitment toward the development of facilities, resources, and services that perpetuate an educationally diverse environment known for cultivating the intellect and simultaneously exceeding the quality expectations of its patrons. Instructional Facilities A. Flight Training Facilities. 1. Northwest Aviation College is located at the Auburn Municipal Airport, 506 23rd, NE, Auburn WA 98002. Auburn Municipal Airport is located 30 miles south east of Seattle. The airport incorporates a 3,400 foot paved runway with runway lighting, runway end identifier lighting, and visual approach slope indicators. B. Campus Northwest Aviation College operates a 2,700 square foot administration and classroom building at the Auburn municipal airport. All training rooms are well lighted and the temperature is thermostatically controlled. Each room is well ventilated and conforms to all local building, sanitation, and health codes. C.
