Make Your Training Pay Off! New
research by Dan Becker, president of the Student Pilot Network
(www.ufly.com), has determined
a direct correlation between the frequency of a student pilot's
lessons and the time to the first solo. Often students make their
first training more expensive and time consuming by missing or
canceling lessons. The task of relearning material or techniques
presents a definite setback. The chart below depicts the number
of lessons student pilots took prior to solo.
The information below provides a clear comparison between
the student pilots who train daily, and those that train less
than once every two weeks. The diference is approximately 9.1
hours and depending on what aircraft rental and instructional
rates are, students could be contributing about $1,000 more dollars
than necessary.
